Tenterfield is one of Australia's most signifigant historic settlements through preservation of it's landmark buildings.
Bald Rock National Park features the largest exposed granite monolith in Australia, rewarding bushwalkers and climbers with an expansive panoramic view unequalled in the New England Region. Bald Rock, 260 metres above the surronding bushland, Bald Rock is a massive granite dome 750 metres long and 500 metres wide. The largest exposed granite rock in the southern hemisphere and you are rewarded with great views across a boulder-studded landscape when reaching the top. A gentle 2.5 kilometre walk to the summit which took us 40 minutes or the optional steep incline. A sealed road all the way to the Bald Rock. We then proceeded on to Stanthorpe via the back country road which was a very good condition grave...
